Today has been relaxing, refreshing, and fulfilling. Sleeping in, getting crafty, and lots of true crime!my husband seems to have snuck out of bed this morning. I woke up are 10. This is not normal for me. I am usually up by 8:30 on the weekends. Taking care of all the things that I couldn’t get to during the week.

As I came down the stairs, I was thinking of where I was going to start since I had slept the morning away. I felt like I had a lot to do and less time than I had planned. I got to the landing at the bottom of the stairs and to my surprise, the laundry was folded and in hangers on the couch. I had told my husband last night that I would do it today. I walked to the kitchen where he was coming from when we almost collided! The dishes were done! Not a single dish was in the sink. The laundry had also been moved from the washer to the dryer.

So naturally I asked him what I could do. His response? “Watch your show.” He knew O had been waiting to binge watch Dateline since I finally committed to a new streaming service. I couldn’t possibly just sit while he continued to clean. So I helped out the laundry away. He then vacuumed. I after that, the household chores were done.

He started finishing up a project. I offered to help while I watched my show. We finished up the project and headed out for a few errands.

Now, I’m home for the day. Watching more Dateline. Seriously, don’t judge me. It has been so nice to spend a whole day with him. I even skipped the gym today 😮😮.

Moral of the story here? If you are somebody who can confidently do all the things on your own, that’s great. But, we have to also learn to let people help. Let them in. Let them carry some of the burden of being an adult. You may not realize how much you actually need it.
