Welcome! This will be a lifestyle blog where I will talk about many different topics regarding this journey we are all on with little to no instruction :). These topics will include but sure as hell won’t be limited to spouses, pet peeves, sexual abuse, oragnizing, meal prep, life experiences, and health and beauty (not to be confused with healthy booty, although we may discuss that too). **Disclaimer: I am not a doctor nor have I studied nutrition or health to be honest. Everything I go over will be from my experiences first hand.

As I sit here thinking about how to tell you all about me these questions keep invading my brain space. “Will they like me?” “How do I even tell people who I am and what I’m about?” “How do I not offend them?” “How do I talk about my experiences without striking a nerve in others?” So, FU$K IT! I am a sexual abuse survivin’, cuss word flingin’, meal preppin’, gym goin’, introverted, blunt and opinionated, about to be 30 somethin’ woman in today’s society. I am mostly a messy bun, but can clean up nice too. And I would oh so love to tell y’all that I don’t care what people think of me, but I do to some extent.

I am starting this blog because I want to connect with today’s society. I want to be the start of a positive community like none other. I want to reach the people who are looking to better themselves on a daily basis. Whether you are going through a hard time mentally or emotionally,  or maybe you want to learn to meal prep, or get started at the gym. It could be that you just want to learn some really cool things about life, or how to organize/plan your day, or maybe you just need a friend. I grew up without many friends. I was not outgoing, couldn’t control my RBF, and was bullied daily. I know what it’s like to go through life alone, and to go through life with somebody by your side. And I’ll take option 2 any day :).

So about me, I was born in Illinois, but raised in Ohio, Georgia, Florida, and Virginia. That’s right, a true Navy Brat!! My mother served in the U.S. Navy during my childhood. I was sexually abused from age 10-13ish by the poor excuse for a human that is my ex-stepdad. And before a single one of you judge my mother, the abuse only took place while she was deployed. She was not even made aware of what happened until 2004. I was born in 1991 so you can do the math. Mostly, because I suck at it! That experience definitely had a hand in how I became the person I am today, but it is not who I am. It does not define me. Although I have become a loyal individual, I have had crazy trust issues my entire life, and still do!

I quickly became a rebellious 15 year old dating a 23 year old. I kept it a secret as long as I could, but eventually my mother found out. LOL I was grounded!! I’m sure it wasn’t because I did anything wrong, but probably to keep me safe. I dated that MAN for 3 years and moved out of my parents house at age 17 because I had convinced myself that him and I were the only people that loved me. I WAS SO WRONG! Today my mother and I are inseparable. We talk about everything. Literally, everything . I moved from Virginia to Florida, just to be close to her.

Fast forward to 2010. The love of my life danced his way into my soul. We have been together for about 10 years and have been through IT! I told him from the very beginning not to expect me to “obey” him. Don’t expect dinner ready when you get home. Don’t expect me to take shit from any man, ever! He understood and still loves me unconditionally. This man came into my life at a very trying time in my life. I was binge drinking, just to numb my reality. I actually left town without telling him about 3 months into our relationship. He stood by me. He waited for me. More like, when I came back to town I stayed the night with him and just never left. Y’all this man is mentally and emotionally built like a damn tank. I am a lot to deal with :). But, he loves every piece of my being and I am so grateful for him. Lastly, we have an adorable, 5 year old, disobedient, sh!thead of a dog. His name is Sampson.

Covid-19 has sent my entire office to work from home. I am adapting well, but the interaction with human life seems minimal sometimes.

So again, welcome to my Sh!t Show. Comment below any topics you’d love to hear about. I draw the line at religion and politics. Wayyyy too much negativity in those categories. You can email me at thebabblingbrunetteblog@gmail.com. I also have  Tik Tok, Pintrest, and Instagram accounts where I will post content as well. Buckle up, we are just getting started.
